ECG Poles 'Enduring an onslaught' In Krobo Area
A few shafts having a place with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) that send capacity to certain region in the Krobo region in the Eastern Region have gone under assault.
It was found on Friday that the posts are being vandalized by what ECG authorities have portrayed as "deceitful individuals".
In an image and video imparted to Graphic Online, something like one shaft has been seen cut, with a logging machine.
ECG authorities joined by staff of the Ghana Armed Forces were seen examining the harmed post.
A source at the ECG told Graphic Online that a specific shaft has since been supplanted and power reestablished.
Last week the bosses and individuals of Yilo Krobo in the Eastern Region spoke to the ECG to reestablish power supply to the area to save organizations and monetary exercises from breakdown.
Since July 27, 2022, the region has been without power because of the choice of the ECG to slice capacity to the area following activities by a part of individuals not to permit the organization to supplant their postpaid meters with prepaid ones.

As indicated by him, there had not been any detailed occurrence of assault or danger, or trouble experienced by the staff of the ECG by inhabitants of Yilo Krobo on the grounds that "Yilo Krobo residents are honest and will do nothing inappropriate to upset the harmony".
"The ECG has forever been working connected at the hip with the Yilo Krobo centrality in the execution and organization of its legal order and obligation. He further begged the ECG to treat equity with benevolence and reestablish capacity to the region, saying: "The blackout is influencing each feature of our lives in the Yilo Krobo Traditional Area, particularly Somanya, the customary and civil capital, where schools are enduring and each financial movement has come an end."
Disillusionment
