Callum Hudson-Odoi has told Chelsea  Football Club he wants to leave the club this summer due to lack of playing opportunities.

The 21-year-old appears to be fed up with his situation at the club and now eager for a loan spell away from Stamford Bridge.

The former England youth star has really struggled for regular playing time under Thomas Tuchel.

Odoi was left out of the Blues Premier League opening win at Everton on Sunday to fuel reports of him seeking for a new adventure elsewhere.

Widespread reports in England have claimed that Leicester City and Southampton are interested in a loan deal for the talented winger.

German giants Borussia Dortmund are believed to be the front runners for the young forward’s signature

Thomas Tuchel’s decision not to use the striker against Everton came as a surprise as Chelsea lacked attacking options. They loaned Romelu Lukaku to Internazionale while Timo Werner was also not involved against Everton due to his deal with Leipzig.

However there was still no room for Callum Hudson-Odoi, who was not ill and also uninjured. The 21-year old expressed surprise at his omission of Tuchel, who has not shied away from criticizing the player’s application.

The English forward came through the ranks at Cobham and has been among the most promising youngsters to be promoted to the senior side in recent years.

However , injuries and a lack of consistency have consistently hindered his progress at the Bridge

“Rumours about my supposed move to English side Burnley ? I heard that too but it wasn’t really serious. I had to reassure my father when he called me after a friend told him I was leaving for England.”

“I have not had any contact with Burnley yet. Nobody has called me and my real estate agent has not  talked to me about it yet!” the midfielder quips.

“I haven’t received a phone call yet. I only spoke to Kompany once. After Anderlecht vs Oostende last season, when he congratulated me on my performance.

‘I do dream of a big competition, without having a real preference. It just has to be a team with a very nice project. Even a team in Belgium is possible. Why not? There are a lot of big clubs here in Belgium.”
