Mikel Arteta has documented Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's 'catalog of offenses, in which the forward lost the Arsenal captaincy and left the club.
Aubameyang was sacked by Arsenal last December before his contract was mutually terminated and he joined Barcelona in January.
It comes after the Gabon international was late returning from a pre-arranged trip to visit his mother, but new footage from the Amazon Prime Video documentary All or Nothing: Arsenal reveals the extent of Aubameyang's troubles.
Speaking to Arsenal's director of media, communications, and public affairs after the press conference, Arteta said: "That's why I'm documenting everything, with the date, time, talk, how it happened, why it happened... because if someday, if tag needed.
“[Aubameyang] has been late many times along with all the [other] problems. The club has tradition. When you get that kind of money…”
Footage later showed Arsenal technical director Edu and director of football operations Richard Garlick calling the club's lawyers after Aubameyang was ordered to train away from the main group.
His lawyer said they were "quite behind" and asked if it was simply Aubameyang's late return from France.
"Mikel has a record," Garlick explained. "It's a list of crimes he committed that ends here."
The documentary also captures the moment Arteta told the team that Aubameyang had lost the captaincy and would not be playing with them. "The club and I will not accept such behavior," said Arteta.
"And what we're building is totally against that kind of behavior." So if we want to change our culture and make sure we become a different club and team, we have to stick to those words, hard and firm. clear in every action with anyone.
"This is the message I have to pass on to you. I don't like the timing, but I have to work this out with you guys.
Arteta revealed in an interview during the documentary that he was "very happy" when Aubameyang signed a new contract worth Ł350,000 a week in 2020.
The Spaniard added that he did not want the relationship to end like this but had to after the "non-negotiable" was over.
"In the end, rules and discipline bring clarity, because at the end of the day trust cannot be measured," said Arteta. "When you look in that player's eyes and you think it's gone and it's a very difficult moment to get something out of him.
When I look into his eyes and see and feel what I feel, that level of trust is gone.
“My memory of Auba is an extraordinary moment. I don't want it to end like this because in the first place I think Auba deserves better and so does the club. But I don't think it can be any other way.
Asked when he knew Aubameyang could not be part of the team, Arteta said: "When I look him in the eye and see and feel what I feel, that level of trust is gone. Today.
"This is a very difficult decision to make in the middle of the season and with the club's most important player and then the impact that player's absence has on the team's performance.
"But if you put all those ingredients together and the decision is still clear, then you should give it a try."
