Timo Werner moves secrecy to clarify Chelsea exit 

After spending two years at Chelsea, the German international is expected to make a permanent transfer back to RB Leipzig.

Timo Werner, who is getting ready to head back to RB Leipzig, has stated that his time with Chelsea is over. According to football.london, the move will cost about £25 million, including bonuses, many of which are thought to be attainable. 

After moving from a Bundesliga club in the summer of 2020 for a fee of £49.5 million, the German international spent two years at Stamford Bridge, where he helped the team win the Champions League, Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup championships. Despite having a good rapport with the supporters, the 26-year-old hasn't been able to match his German level of goal scoring ability.

Werner made 89 appearances while playing for Chelsea, scoring 23 goals and dishing out 21 assists. Werner has served in a variety of capacities during his time at the club, but more frequently than not, the striker has been one of Thomas Tuchel's substitutes. Relationship between the two is rumored to have soured, and Werner naturally wants to be selected for his country's World Cup team this winter. 

Werner does, however, seem to hold a special place in his heart for his time spent at Stamford Bridge. Werner stated in a statement: "Hello, Blues The last day of my tenure with Chelsea FC is today. 

"I am immensely appreciative of the time I was able to spend at this unique club. I would want to express my gratitude for the following at this time , for my teammates, the coaches & staff, and especially for you, the special supporters of Chelsea Football Club Despite having a good rapport with the supporters, the 26-year-old hasn't been able to match his German level of goal scoring ability.
