Former Ghana Black Stars coach Charles 'CK" Akonnor has sensationally revealed how he struggled to name his squad during his tenure as national team boss.
The former Black Stars captain replaced Coach Kwesi Appiah as Ghana boss in January 2020.
But he was sacked together with his two assistants after Ghana lost 1-0 away to South Africa in their second Group G game of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
The former Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, AshantiGold and Dreams FC coach has revealed he struggled to name his squad for international assignments.
‘’Black Stars at my tenure was struggling, the whole team was not stable and sometimes when making call up you don't even know how many players to call. He told Kumasi-based radio station Akoma FM.
"At Black Stars it was a different story and one day I will tell it" he did add.
In ten matches he had a win rate of just 40%, having only won four, lost four and drew two.
He was subsequently replaced by the Serbian Milovan Rajevac.
