Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are now looking for the final pieces of the jigsaw" after receiving interest from Ajax FC and Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

This is according to Dean Jones who was speaking to “This is Futbol” about Tottenham's potential transfer plans as the summer deadline approaches.

It is reported that Antonio Conte's side have been monitoring Mohammed Kudus' situation at Ajax for the past six months with the club hoping to sign the 22-year-old.

However the report suggests that the club may be willing to wait until next summer to sign the Ajax midfielder if a deal cannot be reached before the transfer window closes on September 1st.

And Dean Jones believes that the club's potential acquisition of Kudus could be one of the final pieces of the puzzle for Antonio Conte's side, who will fight on four fronts this season.

He said; “I think he is a different type of midfielder and I think that, again Tottenham are just looking for the final pieces of the jigsaw and the players that might give them an edge.

“It would not surprise me if they did sign a midfielder, obviously James Maddison is one that has been linked.

“Mo Kudus has the ability to make things happen from midfield.”
