Gabriel, a defender for Arsenal, maintains his unwavering commitment to the team, but he does acknowledge that being associated with elite teams like Barcelona and Juventus throughout the summer was beneficial.

The Brazilian international has established himself as a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta's redesigned team since moving to the Gunners from Lille two years ago.
Although Arsenal does not currently have access to Champions League football, Gabriel's performances last season in particular caught the attention of several major European clubs. Nevertheless, the 24-year-old is still fully committed to his manager's rebuilding effort.
He told Sports, "It's always wonderful to get that recognition, but I'm really focused on Arsenal."
"I am extremely content here." My colleagues and I get along well, and I'm totally dedicated to the project.
"I am confident that we can accomplish a lot with the project we have," you said.
Last Friday, Gabriel and the returning William Saliba, who had a belated and encouraging debut, helped ensure a clean sheet in the 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace, giving Arsenal's season a more than encouraging start.

Following a £27 million transfer from Saint Etienne in the summer of 2019, Saliba was loaned out three times before finally making his competitive debut for the Gunners in the current season.
The wait appears to have been worthwhile, though, and given how brilliantly he played at Selhurst Park and during preseason, it appears that he will be a regular starter for the team in the coming weeks.
In reference to his assistance in assisting Saliba with his adjustment to English football, Gabriel stated, "I have been here for two years now, so I do have expertise that I can utilize to help him."

The flagship £50 million acquisition from Brighton last summer, Ben White, has been forced into an unfamiliar role at right-back due to the France international's quick development, but Gabriel says it's not surprising to see Arteta make adaptations to make room for a player of Saliba's potential.
He described the young player as having arrived at the facility at a young age before leaving to gain some experience.
Now, despite his advanced age, he already competes for France. That demonstrates his skill. He is a very talented player that is here to assist the club.
"He is already a dear buddy of mine," Gabriel continues. "It helps that we both speak French. He has significantly improved the team's quality, and I believe he has a bright career in front of him.
