The new CEO of YEA takes office.
On Thursday, August 11, 2022, the Youth Employment Agency welcomed the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Kofi Baah Agyepong, for his first day of work.
When the former Chief Executive Officer, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, who is now the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, introduced the young and vibrant new Chief Executive, he was greeted with cheers.

In his introduction, the former Executive Officer (CEO) of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua, charged the staff with providing his successor with the same support, cooperation, and conducive environment that he had.
He also stated that, despite his new role as General Secretary, he will remain an integral part of the Agency and will promote its programs even at the cabinet level. He was grateful to all stakeholders for their support during his six-year tenure as CEO.
JFK urged a detailed assessment for review and continuation of the programs and modules rolled out so far in order to improve them for the benefit of the unemployed youth while officially handing over documents to the new CEO, Kofi Baah Agyepong.
Mr. Kofi Baah Agyepong, for his part, expressed gratitude for the warm reception received from the staff and assured of a great management and staff collaboration to implement the Agency's programs and further create employment for Ghana's youth. He assured the former CEO that the reformation agenda that has given Ghana's youth renewed hope would be continued.
The CEO urged the staff to dismiss any perceived reassignments as a result of the change in leadership.
Kofi Baah Agyepong's main concern was achieving results, and he promised to meet with the staff to assess their individual roles and how best to improve them. Another critical issue for the CEO is work attitude, which includes dedication to the cause of youth development, hard work, and punctuality. He believes that a positive attitude among all employees will obviously benefit the Agency and its key stakeholders, beneficiaries, and job seekers.
The new Chief Executive Officer is also looking forward to run with speed, discipline and result orientation to be the backbone and achieve the One Million Jobs Agenda of the Youth Employment Agency.
Mr Agyepong continued the day with a meeting with the governing Board of the Agency led by Rev. Mrs. Anita Kusi Boateng.
