Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp got into a heated argument on Manchester United's main issues.
It follows a devastating 4-0 loss to Brentford on Saturday that featured numerous catastrophic blunders and individual gaffes. David de Gea made the first, allowing Josh Dasilva's subdued short to wiggle beneath him.
After 18 minutes, Mathias Jensen intercepted a pass intended for Christian Eriksen, who was given a hero's welcome at the Brentford Community Stadium, and scored the game's second goal. This was another mistake by the Spaniard. Before the break, Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo added two more goals to the humiliation to make it 4-0.
While commentating on the game, Neville was quite scathing of his former team and carried on after the game. While Jamie Redknapp argued that the players should abdicate their duty, he was enraged at the Glazers.
It started a heated confrontation, and as it progressed, the former Liverpool player insisted that Neville look at him while speaking.
"You've taken a shot at the players," remarked Neville. Redknapp shot out, "You can't get blaming the owners when the players are turning in performances like that," as the United legend turned away, shaking his head.
"I'd like to ask you a query. At Liverpool, we didn't win the league for thirty years. When I'm speaking to you, look at me. When you're a player, you don't wonder, "I wonder what Joel Glazer is doing tomorrow?" They must accept responsibility."
Neville retaliated: "Jamie, around two months ago, they removed £24 million from the club. Twenty years ago, our stadium was the best in the world, but now it is run-down and inferior. You have a football project where the decision-makers are clueless, bankers are in charge of the football team, and no sporting director has been recruited.
"You can analyze the players all you want, but there are so many major issues that must be resolved first. They cannot continue to hide in Tampa; they must appear and face the consequences."
