Real Madrid Considering 2023 Move For Rafael Leao

La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for 23-year-old Portuguese international Rafael Leao in the 2023 summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Rafael Leao is the subject of interest from Real Madrid over a potential move in the 2023 summer transfer window. Los Blancos won't sign any more players this year however are laying down a plan to refine their first-team squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Rafael Leao joined AC Milan from LOSC Lille nearly three years ago and has established himself as a pivotal figure for the Rossoneri since then. The 23-year-old took a chance to get moving yet has come leaps and limits in the last twelve months, playing a leading job in Milan's Serie A title win in the 2020/21 season.

The Portuguese international was instrumental with his contributions, amassing 11 goals and ten assists in 34 Serie An appearances. Leao also won the Serie A MVP for his performances, and his endeavors have captured the attention of several European fat cats, with Real Madrid one of his imminent suitors.

Real Madrid previously considered signing Leao this summer after Kylian Mbappe scorned them by signing another contract with Paris Saint-Germain. Be that as it may, Los Blancos immediately precluded a move for the 23-year-old attacker, with Carlo Ancelotti happy with the squad at his disposal after greeting the arrivals of Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Florentino Perez has also confirmed that Real Madrid won't sign any more players this summer. At the same time, the Portuguese international is content at AC Milan amid interest from several European forces to be reckoned with. In any case, Leao actually features in Real Madrid's list of things to get, albeit for the 2023 summer transfer window.

Real Madrid will hope to bring in a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema in the 2023 summer transfer window, and they are hatching a plan to effectively bring in the ideal candidate. Two other players feature on Real Madrid's radar, with Christopher Nkunku and Harry Kane also on their waitlist.

It will be interesting to perceive how Leao performs in the 2022/23 season, with continued greatness liable to keep Real Madrid snared. The 23-year-old Portuguese international will hope to retain his superior performance levels this term.
