Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have shared their thoughts on the fiery London derby where they were both sent off during Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

The first explosion came after Pierre-Emile Hoiberg's long-range effort equalized early in the second half for Spurs, with both the coach and two of his assistants warned.

Late in the game, after Harry Kane had equalized Tottenham's second, Tuchel and Conte were sent off again after the Chelsea boss took offense to his team-mate's handshake.

Afterward, Tuchel told Sky Sports: "I think, if you shake hands, look each other in the eye, Antonio has a different opinion." It was emotional, he was happy when he scored the equalizer - after that, I got a little hot, but nothing major. It's not necessary, but a lot of things are unnecessary. Another wrong decision by the referee."

When asked about his earlier warning after Spurs' first equalizer, Tuchel simply replied: "It's not a problem. It's emotional, it's football, just like him. He doesn't need comments to warm up.

"If we meet [after the game] we will meet, otherwise there is no problem."

Tuchel later discussed the incident again during his post-match press conference.

He said: “It's like two players having a bit of a fight on the pitch and nothing happens. Nobody was hurt and players don't have to apologize if they made a hard or fair tackle.

"This is Premier League football and both managers were involved today because we both fought for our team. That's it, no one got hurt, no one got hurt, we didn't fight or anything.

"It's not a big deal for me. Today was part of that and of course, boiled down and we participated. Neither of them was bad. I don't have any bad feelings and I'm sure he doesn't either.

"We fought for our team and this is what happened. It's very tight here and it was an intense match… both arches were so tight it was a bit hot for both of us. Yes [I enjoyed it] and I think he enjoyed it too. It's not bad."

Conte is less interested in investigating the matter, preferring to discuss his side's equalizer amid protests from Chelsea against match referee Anthony Taylor.

He explained: "I don't want to comment on the situation because I don't think it's the most important thing. If there's a problem, it's for him and me, not for anyone else."

Conte then opened up at his press conference as well.

"I think we liked what happened, but next time we'll pay more attention and not shake hands and sort things out," said the Spurs manager. "He stays on his bench, I stay on my bench with my team to one side and it doesn't matter. It's a shame if we miss the next game in this situation.

"It wasn't that important [what happened]. The most important thing is always football and talking about the game. It was an intense game. It was a very difficult game for us, but you know very well that it's always difficult to come here and play. played against Chelsea away from home. You have a very good team.

"The referee gave me a red card, but he didn't understand the dynamics of what was happening, but there was no problem. I have to accept it, but I repeat that it's not a big problem. It's not important. The problem is between me and another coach, not someone else.

“There is a video to understand what happened. I'm definitely not passive. When I see aggression, I respond with aggression, but I repeat, it's not a problem. Most importantly, it was a great two-team game where there was a lot of competition.

"It's very important for us to get a point. In my opinion, they continue to overtake us, but before the press conference, I will say that this season we are better than last season, and I think we showed that in trouble, that we are opponents. which is difficult to deal with. For many reasons.”
