Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham, has jokingly said that if he had witnessed Thomas Tuchel's touchline run on Sunday, he would have "tripped over" him. At Stamford Bridge, the two London juggernauts fought off a thrilling 2-2 tie. The two managers' tempers in their respective dugouts also grew hotter as the temperature increased.

With two goals from Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James against Tottenham, Chelsea proved to be the superior team for the majority of the game.

But thanks to goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane for the guests, Spurs were able to leave their rivals with a victory.

Tuchel sprinted down the touchline in joy following Chelsea's score from James in the 77th minute. Additionally, it appeared to be a response to Conte's animated behavior following Hojbjerg's leveling of his side.

The Tottenham manager later made a joke on social media that if he had been looking in Tuchel's direction, he would have tripped over the German.

Using laughing emojis, he said, "Lucky I didn't see you..making you trip over would have been well deserved."

Despite multiple instances of conflict between himself and Tuchel during the game, it looks that Conte was prepared to joke.

At halftime, the Italian's opponent refused to release his grip on his hands after a handshake, which escalated the situation.

Conte didn't appear to be looking Tuchel in the eyes, as players and officials from Chelsea and Tottenham rushed to intervene.

All in all, the former manager of the Blues had a fantastic trip back to Stamford Bridge.

Conte asserted both his own and his opponent's acts were motivated by passion, saying: "I think it is not significant, this is not important.

"It may occur when both sides are highly passionate."

Conte continued by promising that they wouldn't fight once again while also stating that he would "pay more attention" when shaking hands with Tuchel in the future.

"He'll stay on his bench, and I'll stay on mine. I have no issue with this "Added he.

Following the match in west London, Chelsea manager Tuchel has stated he has no ill will toward Conte.

"Antonio had a different opinion from mine when it came to eye contact during handshakes, he stated.

"He was delighted when they tied the score, and there was a small amount of heated exchange... I believe it was unnecessary, but many other things also seemed unnecessary.

It was created out of nothing. I have no bad intentions.

However, Tuchel criticized referee Anthony Taylor, claiming that both of Tottenham's goals should not have been awarded.

Rodrigo Bentancur appeared to knock out Kai Havertz in response to Hojbjerg's effort, winning the ball back and allowing play to resume.

The question of whether Richarlison was also offside and obscuring Blues goalkeeper Edouard Mendy's view was also raised.

For Kane's late equalizer, Chelsea claimed that Cristian Romero fouled Marc Cucurella, claiming the Argentinean had tugged the left-hair. back's

Anthony Taylor has made some questionable judgments against Chelsea, according to certain fans, according to Tuchel.

"I can promise you that everyone in our entire dressing room shares that opinion.

"When a player gets yanked by the hair, how come the other player remained on the field? I also don't see how the first goal was not offside. Pull someone's hair, remain on the field, and go for the final corner.

"Without any justification, this is for me, and I don't want to accept it.

"Both goals shouldn't stand, and the outcome is fair because we played well and deserved the victory. This is how I see things.”
