Salernitana are said to have held talks about bringing in forward Felix Afena-Gyan.
The newly promoted club are keen to sign the striker but As Roma are only willing to loan him out.
According to reports both clubs met before the Serie A match on Sunday. Bryan Cristante's strike in the 33rd minute gave Roma a 1-0 victory over Salerniterna.
The 19 year old was unused by manager Jose Mourinho.
