OGC Nice manager Lucien Favre has opened up on the French Ligue 1 side's move to get the signature of RSC Anderlecht forward Francis Amuzu this summer.

The 22 year-old Ghanaian-Belgian forward has been linked with a move away from Anderlecht to France to continue his career.

The Belgians are keen on keeping the winger at the club as they see him to be an important player this season following the departure of Sergio Gomez who is joining Manchester City.

Nice are said to have offered £10 million to sign the Ghanaian winger and reports suggested Amuzu is set to undergo his medical examination this week so as to complete his transfer.

Favre said negotiations between the club and the player are in the right direction but much will depend on the attacker who will decide on his future.

"It seemed to be going in the right direction with Francis Amuzu, but today I do not know if it will be okay. It is the winger himself who will have the last word," He said.

"Sometimes players do want to come at some point, but later change their mind."

Francis Amuzu had an impressive campaign with Anderlecht last season hit double figures in goal scoring. He netted 10 goals and provided 5 assists in 46 matches in all competitions.

He is up and running in the 2022/2023 campaign after netting twice in four matches in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.

Salernitana are said to have held talks about bringing in forward Felix Afena-Gyan.

The newly promoted club are keen to sign the striker but As Roma are only willing to loan him out.

According to reports both clubs met before the Serie A match on Sunday. Bryan Cristante's strike in the 33rd minute gave Roma a 1-0 victory over Salerniterna.

The 19 year old was unused by manager Jose Mourinho.

Felix Afena-Gyan's contract with AS Roma has been extended until June 2026, but As Roma are looking to clear space in attack in order to sign Belotti, and Felix Afena-Gyan is the player they want to trade.

The teen sensation had a breakthrough season last season, when he was promoted to the first team by Jose Mourinho.

He made his first appearance against Cagliari in Serie A in November 2022, before scoring his first two goals in the victory over Genoa in the Serie A.
