Sergio Gomez is the fourth newcomer for Manchester City this window, joining Stefan Ortega, Erling Haaland, and Kalvin Phillips.

Sergio Gomez, a full back from Anderlecht, has been officially signed by Manchester City on a four-year contract.

The 21-year-old, who was originally a part of Barcelona's junior program and Borussia Dortmund, joined the Belgian club for a rumoured cost of £11 million after working with ex-City captain Vincent Kompany there.

Gomez joins Kalvin Phillips, Erling Haaland, and Stefan Ortega as City's fourth signings during the summer window.

He told the club's official website, "I am tremendously delighted and happy to have joined Manchester City.

"City are the best team in England, and with Pep Guardiola, I have the opportunity to grow and learn from the best coach in football worldwide.

"For me, the opportunity to be a member of this club is a dream come true, and it is something that any young player would like to achieve.

"City has won an extraordinary amount of titles in recent years, and Pep's team plays the most thrilling brand of football in Europe.

"It will be an honor to represent Pep and his coaches and learn from them.

"I can't wait to start since I've heard so much about the City supporters and their fervor.

Gary Neville has expressed his concern that Manchester United might place in the bottom half of the standings if Cristiano Ronaldo were to leave the club.

With consecutive defeats to Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion, United's start to life under Erik ten Hag has been appalling, leaving them at the bottom of the Premier League.

The last weeks of the transfer market could be crucial for Ten Hag, who will face a difficult test on Monday against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

Although a number of players have been connected to United, the biggest mystery remains Ronaldo's future, who is rumored to be pressing for an exit because he wants to play Champions League football.
