Ex - Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari Signs New Deal With Kumasi based Porcupine warriors club Asante Kotoko.
Ghana Premier league giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko popularly known as the Porcupine warriors have made a move to acquire the signature of ex-Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari.
The budding 37-year-old player is on a free transfer to the Kumasi based Asante Kotoko as plans are advanced for the commencement of the 2022/2023 season in September.
The sensational Ghanaian player returned to Ghana in the 2020/2021 season to join biterest-rivals of his just signed team, Accra Hearts of Oak in the middle of the season.
He appended his signature to a six-month contract with Hearts of Oak where he assisted the Accra-based club and one-time Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League title holders to defend the FA Cup title and also defeating Asante Kotoko in the Presidential Cup.
The 37 year old joined the 'Phobians' during the middle of the just-climaxed season, having made a sensational come back into the Ghanaian topflight after leaving two decades ago.
The ex-Black Stars midfielder netted one goal and provided three assists in his fourteen game outings for Hearts of Oak in all competitions.
Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak who both won the FA Cup and the league and the league title respectively will lock horns at the beginning of the 2022/2023 season in September. Asante Kotoko is also the only Ghanaian team competing in the Confederation of African Football Champions league.
Sulley Muntari dream of playing at the CAF Champions league will be achieved as his new club is the only representative from Ghana and is expected to play against a Burkina Faso club in their opening game.
The transfer window has been opened for the teams to make new signings for next season.
