You can get transfer news from the Premier League and other parts of Europe SPORT.

With Erik ten Hag desperately seeking reinforcements following a disastrous start to the season, Manchester United is likely to take center stage as we approach the transfer deadline in about two weeks. However, they aren't the only team looking to enhance their roster; Chelsea is planning a late shopping spree.

Since Frenkie de Jong's move from Barcelona is now doubtful, the club is looking into deals for a number of targets, including Ten Hag's desire to bolster his midfield. Both Moises Caicedo and Casemiro of Brighton have been mentioned, with club executives specifically talking about a £50 million transfer for the latter.

The United manager is also looking for an attacker, and he may sign Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid if his £58 million release clause is reached. Cristiano Ronaldo may yet depart from Old Trafford because Ten Hag is apparently "open" to the possibility.

Chelsea and Wesley Fofana have struck a contract deal, and now they're getting ready to increase their offer for the defender from Leicester. In the upcoming 48 hours, Cesare Casadei is anticipated to visit the Blues for a physical to finalise the £12.6 million signing.

While late transfers from other Premier League teams cannot be ruled out, teams like Arsenal, Newcastle, and Tottenham could still make some signings before the window slams shut.

Man Utd is pursuing £108 million deals.

According to sources, Manchester United may need to spend £108 million to secure key targets in midfield and attack.

Despite Matheus Cunha's pitiful total of six league goals last season, their initial bid for the Atletico Madrid forward was met with resistance, and United may now have to pay his full £58 million release clause.

In midfield, Casemiro, a veteran of Real Madrid, is also a target, and Frenkie de Jong adds to the difficulty. The 30-year-old Brazilian is reportedly going to cost £50 million, which might help Erik ten Hag in the short term but hurt him in terms of resale value.
