A confident thief is caught on camera stealing a doctor's bag at Ridge Hospital.
A medical doctor at Accra's Ridge Hospital took to Twitter to announce the theft of his backpack, which contained valuable items and several documents.
Dr. Silas Agbesi, a surgeon, said the incident occurred around 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, while he was performing surgery.
"CCTV footage of my backpack being stolen from work today in the hospital." Everyone you see at the hospital is not a patient. Some people are thieves.
"My passport, Ghana card, vaccination card, and other vital documents have all vanished." Silas Agbesi's name appears on documents. It happened today around 12:50 p.m., while I was in the operating room. He has yet to be found. "I'm still looking for him," he said on Twitter.
A man in a long-sleeved shirt and trousers, pretending to be on a phone call, is seen walking into an office and grabbing a backpack sitting on a table in two separate CCTV clips that accompany the post.
The second video shows the thief exiting the hospital's hallway with the brown bag hanging behind his back.
Dr. Agbesi shared his information, stating that the contents of the backpack are very important to him and pleading with members of the public to assist him in recovering his missing valuables.

Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyo, Medical Director of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, has condemned a trainee nurse's statement that she will kill patients placed in her care because her parents forced her into it.
Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyo, speaking to GBC News, said the situation is concerning and that the young lady should undergo a thorough psychological evaluation.
Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyo says a student nurse who threatened to kill patients needs to be evaluated psychologically.
He did, however, encourage the public not to be concerned because the system is designed in such a way that no patient is left in the hands of a single individual.
Meanwhile, the Nursing and Midwifery Council has summoned the nursing student for comments she made about her practice in a TikTok video.
