A 24-year-old unemployed Senior High School graduate, Isaac Gakpetor, has been arrested by the Bole District Police command for stealing fuel.
The suspect is accused of stealing gallons of fuel from tankers that park at rest spots at some filing stations at Bole.
According to the Bole District Crime Officer, ASP Wisdom Pavis Agbeklah, he was caught red-handed after some fuel attendants laid ambush to nab the perpetrator.
ASP Agbeklah noted that there had been complaints in the past five months of missing gallons and a shortage of fuel in vehicle tanks parked at the fuel station.
A review of the CCTV revealed suspect Isaac draining petrol from cars into six gallons.
To gather more evidence, the victims laid ambush and while Isaac was back to his usual stealing, he was nabbed in the act.
He was handed over to the police and his motorbike, stolen gallons of fuel and other possessions have been confiscated.
The suspect will be put before the Bole District Magistrate Court on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

A lifeless body of a 16-year-old boy has been retrieved from River Boafo at Nkwanta in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.
The deceased, identified as Akwesi Akufo-Addo, was going to fetch water with his friends when the incident occurred.
Nkwanta Unit Committee Chairman, Kwesi Amfoh, confirmed this unfortunate incident to Adom News.
He said the deceased, known to be a good swimmer, drowned while showing his friends his swimming skills.
“He compared the river to the sea and said he can swim in it but drowned in the process,” Mr. Amfoh added.
However, the chief of the area, Nana Essandoh, said the young boy drowned because he insulted the river god.
He said they had to perform a series of rituals to pacify the river god before the body was found.
Nana Essandoh said the police were called to the scene to convey the lifeless body of the boy.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Saltpond Government Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
