Cristiano Ronaldo 'obviously wants' to leave Man United and enroll Borussia Dortmund.

Cristiano Ronaldo is still a Man Utd player with 14 days left in the transfer window, but his advisor Jorge Mendes is still collaborating on a deal, especially having contacted Borussia Dortmund.

As his Manchester United exit saga drags on, Cristiano Ronaldo 'absolutely wants' to join Borussia Dortmund.

The 37-year-old is still hoping to find a way out of Old Trafford before the summer transfer window closes in just two weeks, but his agent Jorge Mendes has so far been unable to arrange a move that meets his megastar client's needs. Ronaldo is desperate to play in the Champions League again, and BILD reports that he has set his sights on Dortmund.

According to the German source, Mendes has already made an offer to BVB officials, but has received a negative response. Dortmund are said to have no plans to bring Ronaldo to the Westfalenstadion, citing his exorbitant wages as the primary reason. Despite the fact that Black and Yellows manager Edin Terzic was forced to part ways with star signing Sebastien Haller early in the season after the French striker was diagnosed with a testicular tumor.

Ronaldo's desire to join Dortmund trunks from the Bundesliga champions' participation in the Champions League this season, as the Portuguese superstar seeks to cement his position as the competition's all-time leading scorer. Ronaldo has 15 more goals in his career than his eternal rival Lionel Messi, with the former Real Madrid and Juventus talisman scoring six in seven games for United last season.

However, for the upcoming season, the Red Devils will compete in the second-tier Europa League, with new manager Erik ten Hag tasked with returning United to the top. It may take some time, and Ronaldo isn't interested in staying for what is expected to be a lengthy rebuilding process.

The Red Devils' No.7 has played in several of their Premier Games this season, but multiple reports suggest that his mood has been bleak around the club's Carrington training complex. While Ten Hag and United officials debate whether it's worth keeping a disgruntled Ronaldo for the sake of his goals, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner recently declared on Instagram that the truth about his situation will be revealed "in a couple of weeks."

According to the Representative, his childhood club Sporting Lisbon has offered him a reunion move if the Red Devils rip up his £360,000-a-week contract and let him leave for free. However, a decision on Ronaldo's future must be made soon, as the transfer deadline of September 1 approaches.
