MAN UNITED MAY MAKE A "MASSIVE" TRANSFER MOVE FOR AJAX WINGER ANTONY BY SELLING FOUR PLAYERS.

In order to create room for Antony, MANCHESTER UNITED might need to get rid of a few unimportant players.

After a disastrous start to the new season, Manchester United is preparing a late summer spending spree to save their season. Erik ten Hag, the head coach, has already identified a number of targets, including Ajax star Antony, who might strengthen the team as the Red Devils face a difficult two-week period to finalize transactions.

Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez alone cost £70 million this summer, and Christian Eriksen arrived on a free transfer, so Ten Hag is aware that he will need to get go of some of his squad's older players to make room for the additions.

The Dutch champions value Antony at around £60 million, so convincing them to sell their prized asset will not be easy. However, the club is expected to make a "massive" offer this week, according to the reports. Ten Hag is interested in Antony as well as Barcelona full-back Sergino Dest after working with him at Ajax, while a £60 million move for Casemiro is proceeding.

Sport investigates which Old Trafford players might leave in order to raise cash for United's swoop into the transfer market.

£10m for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Wan-Bissaka, a former academy graduate who Crystal Palace traded to United for a club-record £50 million back in 2019, is reportedly getting closer to signing a transfer deal.

Due to his poor performance over the previous 12 months, the 25-year-old has been replaced in the team by Diogo Dalot. He has yet to play for the team this year, and it now appears that he will try to revive his career in south London.

It's unclear whether the arrangement will be a long-term contract or a loan with a buy option. But given that United are apparently only seeking £10 million, it refers to a failed hiring strategy at the organization that has left United with a huge Deficit of £40m.

£25m for Victor Lindelof

After five years at Old Trafford, Lindelof, who is arguably United's fourth choice behind Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, and Lisandro Martinez, may find himself pressing for a transfer.

The Swede joined for £38 million from Benfica in 2017 under Jose Mourinho, and has been a very reliable, though unspectacular, addition. Lindelof has made some disastrous mistakes at the back during the course of his stay at the club, despite the fact that his performances have frequently gone unnoticed.

Although a deal to remove him from United is not currently in the works, the club would certainly consider proposals for the 27-year-old, who is estimated to make over £120,000 per week.

James Garner: £15 million

Almost every player available is being signed by Nottingham Forest this transfer window, and Garner has emerged as a target for the aspirational Premier League newcomers.

Garner, 21, had a productive 18-month loan with the team, making 69 appearances and scoring eight goals. Additionally, it appears that Steve Cooper is eager to sign the central midfielder to a long-term contract.

Despite Ten Hag's problems with Fred and Scott McTominay in the middle of the pitch, the center midfielder has not been used. Garner's 13-year affiliation with United is reportedly coming to an end if their £15 million asking price is satisfied.

£18m Amad Diallo

Amad was acquired from Atalanta in January 2021 for a fee that might reach £37 million, although there are concerns about his ability to handle the demands of playing at the highest level of football.

Despite an auspicious start, where he scored against AC Milan in the Europa League, the youthful Ivorian, 21, has not quite lived up to the promise anticipated at the club.

Due to a serious knee injury, he was unable to join Feyenoord on loan. Instead, he moved on to Rangers, where in 13 appearances for the Scottish team, he played a largely false role while only managing three goals. United may take the right offer into consideration if they want to ratchet up their attempts for Antony.
