The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has lined-up a powerful friendly match against five-time world cup champions Brazil on September 23rd, in a bid to prepare adequately for the 2022 World Cup,
The Black Stars of Ghana will lock horns with the South American giants on 23 September during the FIFA international break at a venue yet to be disclosed.
The Kurt Okraku led Ghana Football Association, is determined to ensuring that the Black Stars are better prepared for the campaign in Qatar in November.
The Ghana football association has been working vigorously to play with the best football countries during the upcoming FIFA break which resulted in the decision to play the Brazil.
An agrrement for the match to take place has been reached by both associations as the two countries aim to get a better appreciation of their players as they prepae for the World Cup to be played in Qatar.
This decision is to ensure that Ghana play the toughest possible opponents before they travel to Qatar to face their opponents at the world's biggest football stage.
It is in this direction that the four-time African champions will play the South Americans next month at an unconfirmed venue. However, available information suggest that the match is likely to be played in Europe with most of the players of both teams plying their trade with top sides in Europe.
The move is meant to reduce travel time for both side while advancing the training time the players will have with their national teams during the international break.
The GFA has been working to secure high pofile friendly matches for the Black Stars during the upcoming FIFA break which resulted in the decision to play with the South American football giants.
Ghana are likely to organise numerous friendly during that break to give coach Otto Addo advance information and strength/weakness of about six new players that have switched nationality to play for the Black Stars.
It will also give the former Ghana international winger the chance to also observe the current form of his players and make decisions ahead of time.
