Here is a complete list of football players who beat the odds and played for Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Many people may not believe it, but several players have had the courage to move from Barcelona to Real Madrid or from Real Madrid to Barcelona.

The fact that these two sides are arch rivals in the Spanish La Liga and supporters do not react well to this transition is why we produced a list of players who have played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid in their football careers.

Enrique Luis

Luis Enrique, Spain's current coach, is among the elite and rare group of players who have played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona. Luis Enrique joined Real Madrid in 1991 and lasted five seasons with the club, appearing in 157 games and scoring 18 goals.

Enrique was a key player in Real Madrid's midfield before joining Barcelona in a straight transfer in 1996. He appeared in 207 games for Barcelona and scored 73 goals for the club.

He also coached Barcelona from 2014 until 2017.

Figo, Luis

Luis Figo, arguably one of the most contentious transactions in football history, was a fan favorite at Barcelona from 1995 to 2000 before moving to Real Madrid from 2000 to 2005.

He appeared in 172 games for Barcelona, scoring 30 goals in that time. His transfer to Real Madrid stunned many supporters; for a record sum of 62 million euros, Figo scored 38 goals in 164 games for Los Blancos.

De Lima, Ronaldo Nazario

Ronaldo De Lima, a Brazilian football legend, has played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. He has only played 37 games and scored 34 goals for Barcelona in one season (1996-1997).

He left Barcelona for Inter Milan before returning to Spain and joining Real Madrid, where he played 127 appearances and scored 83 goals between 2002 and 2007.

Laudrup, Michael

Michael Laudrup, regarded as one of the best footballers of all time, sought his place in history by remaining one of the few to make a direct move from Barcelona to Real Madrid in 1994.

From 1989 to 1994, he was a key member of the Barcelona team, appearing in 166 games and scoring 41 goals. From 1994 to 1996, he played 62 games and scored 12 goals for Real Madrid.

Eto'o, Samuel

Although his time at Real Madrid was brief and uneventful, with only three appearances and no goals, Samuel Eto'o turned the tide and returned to Spain a stronger man with Barcelona.

Samuel Eto'o joined Barcelona in 2004 and played 144 appearances for the club, scoring 108 goals.
