Government will appoint approximately 5,000 Senior High School (SHS) graduates by end of August 2022 to assist with fundamental health care transport on Community Health-Based Planning Services (CHPS) compounds throughout the nation.  
They will assist nurses with services, together with recording medical records and symptoms, undertaking physical examinations, and providing simple bedside care to patients, basically in rural communities. 
Also, 5,000 people would be trained as carpenters, electricians, welders, and construction workers and be furnished with a platform to connect with people and businesses.  
Alhaji Ibrahim Bashiru, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Operations, Youth Employment Agency (YEA) made this announcement to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday at the sidelines of the release of the 2020 Ghana Job Fair.  

The “Green version” of the fair, Subject, “Connecting talents and opportunities” is a partnership between the German Cooperation/GIZ Ghana, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, YEA and the Delegation of German Commerce and Industry in Ghana.  
Alhaji Bashiru stated that the Agency was working hand in hand with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) with the “Community Health Worker” programme to educate the selected graduates and “deploy them to our CHPS compounds.” 
He referred to that: “The CHPS compounds are normally placed in our rural communities, so, they’ll be there to assist the everyday nurses with document retaining and fundamental matters that could help the nurses to be able to do their work.”

Every year, we intend rolling out not less than 2,000 artisans together with tillers, tailors, carpenters, and masons. The (TVET) Service will get the experts to train them and after that we will deploy them,” the Deputy CEO stated.  
Alhaji Bashiru stated the Artisanal Directorate of the Agency might work intently with the Ghana Police Service to make sure that beneficiaries had no crook document, as their offerings might be accessed via a cellular telecellsmartphone application.  
He stated that the Agency would make sure that the Ghana Job honest become sustained to help address the developing unemployment in the country.  

Speaking at the fair, Mr Benjamin Woeston, Head, Ghanaian-German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration, explain that the fair was to link job seekers and employers with a focus at the advertising of sustainable employment.  
 He referred to that young people unemployment and underemployment had been essential demanding situations in the country as records by the Ghana Statistical Service confirmed that approximately a 3rd of the populace between 15 and 24 years were unemployed.  
“At the same time, climate change confronts everybody with the need to adjust our way of going about matters economically. Hence, greening the economy may be key to being capable of preserve our future,” Mr Woeston, stated. 

He, however, noted that such a green economic system might require a professional labour force with “green skills. Employers want skillful employees that include entrepreneurial and expert spirit,” hence, the development of the green version of the fair.  
He stated the German Government’s cooperation with Ghana had yielded fantastic results in employment promotion, with about six hundred people directly hired via its job fairs.
