Crystal Palace are interested in signing out-of-favour Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumare, while Dennis Praet is also expected to leave the King Power Stadium.

Patrick Vieira of Crystal Palace is interested in Leicester's Boubakary Soumare.

Soumare has struggled to make an impact at the club since joining last year.

The 23-year-old made just 12 league starts for Leicester City last season Brendan Rodgers' side have made just one signing this summer Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace are interested in Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumare.

Soumare has struggled to make an impact at Leicester since joining from Lille last summer for £23 million, and the club would be willing to let him go if an offer met their valuation.

Soumare struggled to adjust to life in the Premier League last season, making twelve league starts and contributing just one assist, and increasingly found himself left out of Brendan Rodgers' matchday squads as the season progressed, with the club narrowly missing out on European football.

Boubakary Soumare struggled in his first season at the King Power Stadium.

Monaco had previously expressed interest in extending a lifeline to the Frenchman earlier this summer, but Leicester's determination to recoup the significant fee they paid for the PSG academy graduate appears to have dampened the Monegasques' interest.

Meanwhile, midfielder Dennis Praet could be on his way out of the club, with Bruges interested in completing a deal.

The Belgium international spent last season on loan at Tornio in Italy and has fallen down the Leicestershire pecking order, though he did make a brief appearance in the club's defeat to Arsenal earlier this month.

Dennis Praet could also leave the club, with Belgian champions Bruges interested in signing the midfielder.

However, legendary striker Jamie Vardy has committed his future to the club, signing a contract extension until 2024.

Leicester have had the quietest transfer window of any Premier League team this season, with only backup goalkeeper Alex Smithies joining the club.

Despite a disappointing lack of new signings, Leicester have secured a contract extension for Jamie Vardy, with the 35-year-old signing a deal that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2024.

Erik ten Hag's Manchester United had emerged as a surprise transfer target for Vardy, with the Dutchman looking to strengthen his forward line amid speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to leave the club.

Both Wesley Fofana and Youri Tielemans' futures are being discussed, with both players linked with moves away from Leicester.

Chelsea are interested in Fofana, but Rodgers has insisted that the Stamford Bridge club meet their £80 million valuation for the 21-year-old before any potential deal can proceed.

Tielemans has one year left on his current contract and is said to be a target for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, though the club has yet to make an offer.

Both players were left out of Rodgers' starting eleven as Liverpool lost to Southampton on Saturday. 'One, a change in system, and two, as I mentioned in the week, we're coming into a Premier League game and maybe we've got players who aren't quite in the right frame of mind,' Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri said of their absences.

'You can't carry them, and we certainly can't.' So, yeah, that's why the changes were made.'
