Ghana attacker Joel Fameye scored his fifth goal of the season to go top of the Russian First League top scorers chart this weekend.
The former Asokwa Deportivo forward is in fine form this season scoring five goals in six (6) appearances.
Joel Fameye scored the match-winner for Rubin Kazan against Ulyanovsk on Saturday to go top of the scorers chart.
Vasily Aleinikov from SKA-Khabarovsk is (2) second on the chart with four goals in five matches.
Fameye joined Rubin Kaza this summer as a free agent from Orenburg.
He was the top scorer last season for Orenburg, netting 15 goals in 26 appearances.
Rubin Kazan move up to the fourth (4th) place with 11 points after the win.
Joel Fameye is currently in top form and is hoping to break into the Ghana squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
He last played for the senior soccer team the Black Stars of Ghana during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers under Coach Charles Kwabla Akunnor.

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has held a series of meetings with Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder following his bench role at the start of the new season.
Mo Kudus was Ajax's best player in pre-season, scoring in three successive games before going on to score in the Dutch Super Cup defeat to PSV.
However, Mohammed Kudus has played only 24 minutes in the Eredivisie after three (3) matches, leaving the Ghana ace frustrated.
"We spoke with him three (3) times, because he thinks he should play," said Coach Schreuder to Voetbal International after the game between Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam.
"Of course I can see that he is disappointed now and then. That is also good and normal as well. It’s about whether you can control that emotion for the team. He handles that very well," He aded.
The 22 year-old came on as a second half substitute in the (1-0) victory on the road, playing the final twenty ;20) minutes.
Mo Kudus has been linked with a move to Everton in the English Premier League but Alfred Schreuder wants the attacking midfielder to stay insisting he is an important player for the club.
"I think he shouldn’t leave," said Alfred Schreuder. "You can see that he is very important. We need a lot of good players like Kukuu," he said
