Residents of Twifo Esukese Ekyir in the Twifo Henmang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region are in a state of excitement and jubilation after a bat perceived to be evil and tormenting them has been killed.
According to the residents who spoke to GHONE NEWS Yaw Boagyan, the ‘evil bat’ has been living with them for many years and has killed many of the inhabitants.
They claim the demonic bat usually appears at night and every time it cries, someone dies the next morning.
“The evil bat used to cry late in the night and immediately the next morning, somebody dies.”
The supposed evil bat has been shot dead by a 22-year-old hunter in the community and burnt to death after pouring libation.
They believe that the frequent deaths in the town will seize following the demise of the bat.
Although what the residents are insinuating about the demonic bat is true, but many people still disagree. Let us take a clear example, bats are often linked to evil spirits because if their nature, they look very scary when you see their face. They do not fly aldiring the day since it us believed they go blind during the day and gets vision during the night. They also sleep with their heads hanging. These and many more are the reason why people often relate them with evil spirits.
