Erling Haaland has said that the famous Sergio Aguero goal from 2012, which gave Manchester City their first league title in 44 years and the first in the Premier League era, is still fresh in his mind.
Erling Haaland developed a passion for Man City as a result of his father's affiliation with the team. Images
It is widely known that Haaland developed a special for for Leeds, the city where he was born and where his father Alf-Inge played from 1997 to 2000; in fact, when he was just 16 years old, he told Norwegian media that it was his ambition to win the Premier League with the Whites.
But Haaland is a die-hard supporter of City. In the same month that his son was born, Alf-Inge moved from Leeds to the blue half of Manchester, where he remained until 2003, when injuries forced him to retire.
Erling was seen donning a City uniform in childhood photos taken years later, and he said as much in his first interview after joining the club this summer.
So it makes sense that such a significant day in the club's history should still be fresh in his mind as if it happened yesterday.
According to Haaland, FourFourTwo, "It was wild." "Winning had been the focus of the day. This was the day the team won the league, therefore this was our moment.
City nearly let it slip through their fingers once more after appearing to blow their chance earlier in the season, only to receive another shot on the last day thanks to an unexpected Manchester United slip-up in the final stretch.
To guarantee that the title would arrive at the Etihad Stadium, they needed to defeat relegation-threatened QPR, but they found themselves trailing 2-1 against 10 players in stoppage time. Prior to Sergio Aguero virtually scoring the final kick of the season to secure his place in history, Edin Dzeko scored the late equalizer. Without that, United would have won their final game and won the championship.

Haaland, who would have been almost 12 at the time, remembered, "We settled down to watch."
"My dad was exactly as thrilled as I was, but things got out of control. City is falling behind 10-man QPR. Despite being the clear favorites, we are failing. It's dejection. But Edin Dzeko scores after 91 minutes. There is still time, but it is very limited.
"It was strange how the winning goal felt. Despite being on the ground, Mario Balotelli managed to pass the ball to Sergio Aguero. When he hits it while closing his eyes, chaos ensues. My dad and I are screaming and jumping out of our seats to run around the living room. When the top is removed, it spins around the head.
