The UEFA Champions League Draw is here again and this time for the 2022/2023 season. The draw is set to take place on Thursday, 25th August 2022. 

The new season promises to be packed with excitement, thrills and immense surprises! Will previous 2021/2022 UCL season winners Real Madrid win back to back or will they be knocked out before even reaching the Round of 16? Anything can happen in the world of football! 

Consisting of 8 teams each, here are the 4 main pots that will be used for the grouping of the teams for the main competition

POT ONE

( Consists of Real Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, Manchester City, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, PSG, Porto, Ajax )

POT TWO

(Consists of  Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, RB Leipzig and Tottenham)

POT THREE

(Consists of Borussia Dortmund, FC Salzburg, Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter Milan, Napoli, Sporting CP, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica)

POT FOUR

( Consists of Club Brugge, Celtic, Maccabi Haifa, Viktoria Plzen, Marseille, Rangers, Dinamo Zagreb and Copenhagen) 

Here’s a brief detailed information about the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League season (from start to finish of the main competition) 

Match Day One begins on 6th and 7th September 2022. Match Day Two begins the following week on 13th and 14th September 2022.

Match Day Three begins on 4th and 5th October 2022 with Match Day Four starting the next week on 11th and 12th October. 

Match Day 5 is on 25th and 26th October 2022 and Match Day 6 is on 1st and 2nd November 2022. 

The knockout stages (Round of 16) of the Champions League starts from 14th February to 15th March 2023. 

Quarter Finals is on 11th and 12th April and the following week on 18th/19th April 2023. 

Semi Finals is on the 9th/10th and 16th/17th May 2023. 

The finals will be on 10th June 2023. These dates can change due to unforeseen circumstances.
