MANIFESTO WRITTEN AND DELIVERED BY MASTER GODSWAY DZAMADE, AN ASPIRANT FOR THE POSITION OF DINNING HALL OVERSEER, ON FRIDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER, 2022 IN LETSA KORBA HALL, AKATSI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
Mr. Chairman, Honorable Executives, Fellow Aspirants, Colleague Students, Ladies and Gentlemen, I salute you all. I am in the person of Godsway Dzamade, popularly known as Aluta.
Just yesterday, when we graciously received letters to join this noble course of becoming professional teachers of our land, I remember being called by a thick tall man one day at the dining session to be helping with a very important task. In my head, I happily whispered ‘among all these freshers’? Little did I know this day will come this soon because I have been dreaming of a day like this since that day.
Mr. Chairman, I am currently implementing and will keep implementing if I am given the mandate to become the overall Dinning Hall Overseer the following among several policies.
Mr. Chairman, to begin with is the policy of enough food in a very hygienic environment. I believe that what we eat can make us strong and healthy or help us to die. Therefore the first of my policies is to ensure that anything that is pertaining to food served in my office is very safe for consumption, and not forgetting the size of the Banku becomes heavier than the usual.
Mr. Chairman, secondly, effective utilization of time. If you vote for me, I will make sure that, your time, tutors time and my time is never wasted. Food will always be ready on time, serving will be as swiftly as never before and break time in Akatsicoe will be the most enjoyable one.
Furthermore, maintenance and introduction of new structures. Mr. Chairman, one of the policies on my ‘Aluta-Agenda’ is the provision of a water dispenser or possible dispensers. This is possible because I would engage the Student Representative Council (SRC), which I will be part of Isha Allah to make it possible. I will reinstate the SRC special plate stand for my honorable SRC executives.
To add, I want to assure akatsicoe that under my administration, I will provide a temporal shade (pavilion) for dining as we wait for administration to provide a more permanent place for dining. This I know will be possible if the appropriate authorities are duly engaged.
Finally, maximum discipline will be ensured. Mr. Chairman, ensuring discipline in the hall at all times is my priority. When I am voted for into office; unnecessary noise, unnecessary burying will be halted and unnecessary control will also be frown upon in order to make sure that every deserving student gets fed to their satisfaction.
Mr. Chairman, before I take my sit, allow me to blow your mind with some of my achievement over the period. I have provided every table in the hall with a good cleaning material to facilitate the good hygienic setting I am poised to keep. Also, I was able to repair most of our dining tables and benches as part of my maintenance work. I, Godsway A.K.A Aluta has provided each table with a fork to avoid the use of bare hands to serve bread and also prevent student from breaking the ladles during the period of serving, just to mention few.
With much said Mr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen, for it's always said a success without successor is a failure, permit me to seize this opportunity to appreciate my predecessors, Mr. Godwin Awoyi aka Goday, and his team under the Kushiator led administration and Mr. Agu Jackson and his team during the Kekeli led regime, I appreciate you all.
Mr. Chairman, Honorable Executives, Fellow Aspirants, Colleague Students, Ladies and Gentlemen, remember, that I have learned the rules of the kitchen, the principles I have studied, the norms, DO’s and DON’T’s have become part of me. Let us all know that the struggle continues and victory is certain and that is the meaning of Aluta. Remember better satisfaction, better understanding. When the stomach is happy, the brain testifies. God Bless Akatsicoe, God Bless Ghana.
