Patrice Evra, a hero for Manchester United, has cautioned his old team that stopping Arsenal's unbeaten streak will require them to use the same "survival mode" strategies they used to defeat Liverpool. As the two teams get ready for an intriguing matchup at Old Trafford on Sunday, Erik ten Hag's team will confront a challenging situation.

In stark contrast to last season, when Mikel Arteta's team lost its first three games with an overall score of 0-9, the Gunners are two points clear at the top of the league after winning all five of its opening games.

After a terrible start to the season under Ten Hag, United has also regained some form, winning three straight games after being humiliated 4-0 by Brentford. Their best performance came in their 2-1 home victory over Liverpool, when they opened the season with a polished defensive performance and attractive football.

Evra, though, has urged United to draw on their strategy against Liverpool and apply a similar strategy to this important game.

However, Evra has urged United to draw on their strategy against Liverpool and apply a similar strategy to this important match in order to come out on top against Arsenal.

Evra told Betfair, "I think United will have to play in that survival mode, they may even have to get some luck, like they did against Liverpool."

"Klopp's team had numerous opportunities to win that match against Liverpool, but let's give credit to United. They are risking their lives right now to stop giving up goals because they don't want to lose any games.

The Frenchman admitted that when he was a player and Arsene Wenger was their manager, he used to refer to the north London team as "babies" and criticize their mindset.

However, he believes that Arsenal has improved this year under Arteta and acknowledged that Ten Hag's team is better suited to that description. He also admitted that Ten Hag's team's strong start to the season has him "scared" going into the game.

"What scares me about Arsenal is that they are in excellent form and winning nasty games. It wasn't a great game against Fulham, but they won," he continued.

"Let's be clear: Arsenal fear Manchester United. The two teams have a long history together. I used to refer to them as "our babies," but now the roles are reversed and we appear to be the babies.

"I think United will win, but anything may happen. This is going to be a tough one.

Ten Hag will be encouraged by the fact that £84 million signing Antony will be available for selection for his debut. United knows that victory will allow them to cut the distance between themselves and Arsenal to two points if they can break their perfect record.
