The analyst predicted that Haaland would succeed for years to come, saying that his playing style differs from Kane's.
Six Premier League games have seen 10 goals from Erling Haaland.
According to Jamie Carragher, Erling Haaland's career will advance differently from Harry Kane's. After scoring in Saturday's 1-1 draw between Manchester City and Aston Villa, the Norwegian sensation has already surpassed the 10-goal mark for the year. He's expected to become a Premier League legend, according to many.
Kane has already achieved that milestone and is getting close to breaking the scoring record all-time. Over the years, the Tottenham striker has had to modify his style, dropping deeper to spread the ball before sprinting in to score.
Some people think that if Haaland stays in England long enough, he might surpass Kane's total number of goals. Carragher noted that while comparisons between the two have already been made, Haaland's development is probably not going to be the same as what Kane has gone through.
"Harry Kane's improvement has just come easily for him, maybe he didn't have this energy and pace in behind to harm players," he observed during commentary of City's draw with Villa.
"Players only fall short when they are unable to go around defenses; with Haaland, that is definitely not going to be the case for the next 10 years." He praised Haaland and continued, "I hope the next several years will bring something wonderful to Man City.
Many of his goals have been typical goals for attackers, but when you see his power and pace coming up from behind, some of them are devastating. We'll talk about him a lot throughout the years, he said in conclusion.
He could be hurt, and he could not play for very long, but I believe he will.
Tottenham's victory at Nottingham Forest was their third of the year, moving them up to third in the Premier League standings, after Manchester City and Arsenal.
After a strong start to the season, Kane has scored four goals in his first four games and is second in the league only to new Man City striker Erling Haaland in terms of goals scored.
Wednesday's match between Spurs and West Ham will take place at the London Stadium. On Sunday, West Ham defeated Aston Villa 1-0 to earn their first points of the year.
