Former Black Stars striker is in critical condition following a ghastly accident.
Former Ghana international Emmanuel Baffour was nearly killed in a horrific car accident in the United States of America.
Baffour was returning from his usual night shift job when the unfortunate incident occurred, reports gathered by Ghanasoccernet revealed.
The ex-Ashanti Gold SC attacker is currently hospitalized and in critical condition in a Maryland hospital.
On Wednesday morning, around 6:30 a.m., Montgomery County Fire and Rescue services responded to a collision on Briggs Chaney Road and Great Oak Lane in Cloverly.
According to the MCFRS Chief Spokesperson, three patients were transported to the hospital, one adult [Baffour] with Priority 1 (life-threatening) trauma and two with Priority 3 trauma.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time, but the road has reportedly been cleared to allow free flow of traffic.
He made his national team debut after an outstanding season with AshGold, where he scored 21 goals and won the top scorer award in 2012.
