A MANISFESTO DELIVERED BY MISS ACHEAMPONG REBECCA, AN ASPIRANTS FOR THE POSITION OF THE DINNING HALL OVERSEER AT THE FORE COURT OF THE LETSA-KORBA HALL ON THE 2ND OF SEPTEMBER 2022.
Mr. Chairman, Principal of the College, Vice Principal Students Affairs Tutor Departmental Heads, competent Senior Members dedicated Hall Wardens, competent SRC, the Electoral Commission colleagues’ Students’ Ladies and Gentlemen good evening.
A wise woman once told me, “it is only if you step in the shoes of the old woman that you appreciate her pace of walking. On this note, I commend the current dinning hall overseers for setting the pace and placing the office of the domestic on a higher pedestal.
Here are my missions as I contest for this office.
I aspire to be a competent leader who will deliver my services with diligence, to satisfy the needs of my people and also be a pace setter as far as the dining hall is concerned.
In order to achieve the above missions, the following are my policies.
First and foremost, I will ensure that every student in this noble institution enjoy their rightful portion of food when I am voted into power. In situations where students’ teachers go back to their cubicle without food, and those that tend to have not satisfied would be seriously worked on, so as to ensure that everybody benefits equally from the dining hall.
And to ensure that I will work together with my team to create tables with reasonable number of people to avoid shortage of food or wastage of food.
Mr. Chairman, with reference to the saying, “healthy minds lives in a healthy body”,
I will work together with my team to improve sanitation as far as the dining hall is concerned. We all know` that what we take in has a very strong effect on our bodies. When our environment is clean and we eat healthy, we will not be prone to disease and we will have a healthy mind to concentrate on academics.
I will also make provisions of ladles for serving food in the dining hall. The situation where a group has to wait for ladles to be washed before they serve is also a problem as far as the dining hall is concerned. During my tenure of office, such problems will be addressed and catered for.
Mr. Chairman, again, I will provide every table with at least two napkins. As well as individuals who do not have. As we all know, it is a basic necessity of every individual that comes to the dinning hall for food to have napkins. Usually, this is very common with our gents. We usually carry foods without napkins when we come to the dining hall, which may cause food pouring when the pantry bowl is hot and uncomfortable to carry. That is the most reason why I see it very important and helpful to make provisions for such needs.
Again, our gents carry their food around and to their cubicles without napkins, insects and other unhygienic factors may cause contamination when they settle on the food which may lead to outbreak of diseases.
Mr. Chairman, Principal of the College, Vice Principal, Students Affairs Tutor, Departmental Heads, Competent Senior Members, dedicated Hall Wardens, competent SRC, the Electoral Commission, Colleague Students, Ladies and Gentlemen, bringing to conclusion, my motives for aspiring for the position of the dining hall overseer.
Fellow students, with Acheampong in the domestic office in the next administration, the dining hall will be a home away from home. Vote Acheampong Rebecca as your next dining hall overseer. Number two (2) on the ballot paper.
When you get to the polls let Acheampong Rebecca echo in your ears. Make the right choice.
Long live Akatsico
Long live Ghana
Thank you.
