BLACK STARS COACH OTTO ADDO HAS CALLED 29 PLAYERS FOR GHANA'S FRIENDLY AGAINST BRAZIL AND NICARAGUA

The Black Stars Coach Otto Addo has called up 29 players for the country's international friendlies against Brazil and the South American side Nicaragua in France and Spain respectively.

Ghana will play on Friday, September 23, 2022, in France at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre. In Lorca, Spain will play in Nicaragua at the Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in a week's time.


These matches will serve as the preparation for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022 in November. Ghana will play their opening group game against Portugal on November 24 at the Stadium 974 in Doha, then play South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2, respectively.

The Coach handed over five debut calls to five new players. They are Ransford Yeboah, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey, and Stephan Ambrosius.

Richard Ofori, Joseph Aidoo, Denis Odoi, Elisua Owusu, and Antoine Semenyo were among those recalled after being left out of the previous Black Stars call-up.

The following players were missing from the squad: Edmund Addo, Mubarak Wakaso, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Richard Atta,Andy Yiadom,Dennis Korsah,Christopher Antwi Agyei, Kwasi Wriedt and Jonathan Mensah.

This is the full squad list for the September friendlies.

GOALKEEPERS: Richard Ofori,Abdul Nurudeen,and Joseph Wollacott.

Denis Odoi, Tariq Lamptey, Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Alexander Djiku, Joseph Aidoo, and Stéphan Ambrosius are among the cast members.

Thomas Partey,Iddrisu Baba,Elisha Owusu,Daniel-Kofi Kyereh,Mohammed Kudus, and Captain Andre Ayew

Inaki Williams,Felix Afena-Gyan, and Benjamin Tetteh.


One of the new debutants, Tariq Lamptey, posted on Twitter, "I’m really excited to start this journey and look forward to representing Ghana. I can’t wait to play in front of all of your amazing fans. Thank you for your kind welcome; let's go!
