Human beings are so important and each one of us is special or unique as well. We come from diverse backgrounds and have different personalities.
But with respect to our creator, we are actually all the same. So every human being you see on this earth was created by God with three(3) components and there are;
1. Body
2. Soul
3. Spirit
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:1,
"And I, brethren, could not speak UNTO YOU AS SPIRITUAL, but as unto carnal, even as unto babe in Christ".
Again the bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:12,
"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole SPIRIT AND SOUL AND BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The scripture shows us that, the king of peace Himself sanctifies you wholly. God sanctifies us by spreading into and saturating our whole being, which begins from our spirit, continue to our soul and eventually to our body.
Our body is our external part which exists and it possesses worldly consciousness.
Our soul perceives things in the psychological realm. The word soul means psych in Greek which is the root word for psychology.
So, our soul is our personality, who you and I are. With our soul, we think, consider and remember. Also we encounter emotions like happiness, love, sorrow, anger and other emotional feelings.
The human spirit is the deepest part of a person . By means of this innermost part, we can contact God our maker in the SPIRITUAL REALM. So as believers, we must put in much effort for our spirit to dominate our flesh, for the bible says in Romans 8:6 that,
"For to be CARNALLY minded is death; but to be SPIRITUALLY minded is life and peace.”
Therefore being spiritual will gain you the name, spiritual brother or spiritual sister.
Below are three(3) keys that will help you to be a SPIRITUAL CHRISTIAN.
WALKING IN TRUTH.
To begin with, BECOME A SPIRITUAL CHRISTIAN BY WALKING IN TRUTH.
Ephesians 6:14
“Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with TRUTH..”
What does "walking" mean here? You must not think it means walking on our feet, as you have walked here tonight. It means rather our way of behaving ourselves; our way of living.
And shall I tell you why the Bible calls this "walking." It is called that, because a man's life is just like a journey. From the time of our birth to the time of our death, we are always traveling and moving on.
Life is a journey from the cradle to the grave, and a person's manner of living is, on that account, often called his "walk."
But what does "walking in truth"mean? It means walking in the ways of true Bible religion, and not in the bad ways of this evil world. The world, I am sorry to tell you, is full of false notions and lies, especially full of lies about religion. They all come from our great enemy, the devil.
Just as a belt is worn close to the body, we believers should hold God's close to us and allow it to surround us. Because when we remain in the word of God, we can distinguish between what is true and what is untrue which makes us Spiritual Christians.
With this being said, I encourage all of us to apply the concept of walking in truth(belt of truth) to our lives to make us Spiritual Christian than carnal Christians and hold on to God's truth.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills stated in one of his books HOW YOU CAN BECOME A STRONG CHRISTIAN that, "The belt of truth is an integral part of our spiritual armour. Truth is a major part of your spirituality. A spiritual person is a truthful person. He added that every time we tell a lie we remove part of our body's spiritual protection and thereby becomes less spiritual."
And per the explanation given by Prophet Dag Heward-Mills, I will say that the devil deceived Adam and Eve in Eden, and made them sin, by telling them a lie. He told them they would not die if they ate the forbidden fruit and that was untrue.
And the devil is always at the same work now. He is always trying to make men, and women, and children have false notions about God and about religion. He persuades them to believe that what is really evil is good; and what is really good is evil that God's service is not pleasant and that sin will do them no great harm.
And, I grieve to say, vast numbers of people are deceived by him, and believe these lies.
But those people who walk in truth are very different. They pay no attention to the false notions there are in the world about religion. They follow the true way which God shows us in the Bible.
Whatever others may do, their chief desire is to please God, and be His true servants.
Because Adam and Eve reacted towards the untrue message from the devil, God's spiritual protection was removed from them by sacking them from the Garden of Eden which made them to become less Spiritual.
Genesis 3:4-5
“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not die : For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
Genesis 3:24
“So he drove out the man….”
Walking in truth daily makes you more spiritual which makes people feel great joy when they hear about us or rejoice greatly when they see us.
Children who walk in truth think very differently. They have no such proud and high feelings. They see themselves to be full of sin and this grieves and humbles them. They believe that sin is the abominable thing which God hates.
They look upon sin as their greatest enemy and plague. They hate it more than anything on earth. There is nothing they so heartily desire to be free from, as sin.
Also, children who walk in truth have learnt that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Light.
3 John 1:4
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my little children WALK IN TRUTH.”
2 John 1:4
I rejoice greatly that I found of thy children WALKING IN TRUTH...
Personally, I have come to realize that whenever I give excuses about something I have to do by telling lies that I am sick or not feeling well, I will start feeling unwell which lead to sickness because I have removed the belt of truth by telling Lies.
So beloved, do all you can to follow this so as to be spiritual.
SEEKING THE WILL OF GOD
Secondly, BECOME A SPIRITUAL CHRISTIAN BY SEEKING THE WILL OF GOD.
1 John 2:17
“And the world passeth away, and the list thereof: but HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF GOD abideth forever.”
Mankind's viewpoint of the world is very different from God's view or perspective.
Human beings like to think that everything is going to continue on as it has been in bygone days, but God has His will that the world with all its lusts and pleasures will pass away and will one day be folded up like a blanket.
This present world system, with its carnal desires and materialistic things won't help us as Christians because, it's wilting away.
Christians must live their lives keeping this truth in their minds that the world will pass away but those who pray for the will of God to become a Spiritual Christian(for the Grace of God is sufficient)and will live forever in the eternal ages to come.
John 2:17 is saying it clear that the person who pray and seek the will of God to become a spiritual Christian abide forever while the one who does not pray to seek the will of God, but chasing after perishable things of this world is thrown into fire which is the reward for been a carnal Christian.
So Christians, must always seek the will of God as Jesus Christ prayed and taught us in the Scriptures.
Mathew 26:43
“He went away again the second time and prayed, saying, O Father if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, THY WILL BE DONE.”
Luke 11:12
“And He said unto them when ye pray, say Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE as in heaven, so in earth.”

So I believe that, by having the Holy Spirit, you become a Spiritual Christian hence you must seek for the will of God which will lead you into righteousness by God's guidance. Amen!!!
