Universities are being challenged to produce graduates with integrity.
Mr. Alieu Massaquoi, the acting Liberian Ambassador to Ghana, believes that modern society lacks university graduates of integrity who are committed to selfless service for national development.
Such graduates, he believes, have the potential to transform a society riddled with the scourge of corruption at all levels. Mr. Massaquoi was addressing the 28th Congregation of Valley View University's Kumasi Campus (VVU).
207 students graduated with degrees in various academic disciplines at the university's Kumasi Campus's 28th Congregation.
The campus's rector, Dr. Winifred Ofoe Larkotey, delivered his annual report, highlighting some accomplishments such as the establishment of a hospital and the use of solar energy to power the entire university in order to reduce the high cost of electricity bills.
Prof. William Koomsoon, Vice Chancellor of the University, urged the graduates to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and service in the workplace in order to serve us well as university ambassadors.
Mr. Sam Pyne, the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi, praised the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for its significant contributions to education in Ghana. He advised the graduates to be guided by the University's core values.

Graduands who excelled in their fields of study, as well as dignitaries such as the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive and the acting Liberian Ambassador to Ghana, were recognized with citations and Valley View University merchandise.
