Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is anticipating their Europa League matchup against Sheriff FC on Thursday.

Players from Manchester United have started practicing again after their 1-0 Europa League loss to Real Sociedad on Thursday. At Old Trafford, Lisandro Martinez handed up a penalty that was later converted by Brais Mendez, resulting in a loss for the Red Devils. In preparation for their match against Sheriff later this week, Erik ten Hag has been seen putting his men through their paces.

Last time out, Manchester United fell short against Sociedad.

The Red Devils were flat throughout the contest, in sharp contrast to their previous four games, despite having more shots and possession of the ball than their La Liga opponents.

On just his second start of the year, Cristiano Ronaldo struggled, and Antony, Antony Elanga, Harry Maguire, and Fred all had a slow night at work.

After the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, United's match against Crystal Palace was postponed for that day.

And on Tuesday, United athletes participated in another practice as they get ready for their Europa League match against Sheriff on Thursday night.

Ten Hag frequently uses Rondo drills in an effort to make his team more of a possession-based unit.

And on Monday, Antony, Ronaldo, Fred, and Raphael Varane all took part in that practice in preparation for starting the game.

Another important quality that Ten Hag wants his club to possess is fitness, particularly in light of how underwhelming they were under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick the previous season.

The Dutchman putting his team through its paces as they ran around Carrington was therefore not unexpected.

In addition to practicing set-piece defense, United also practiced passing and running quickly, as seen in a club media video.

When they enter the field in Moldova on Thursday night, they'll be aiming to earn their first European victory of the year.

The Queen's burial will take place on Monday, therefore that game is expected to happen, but United's match against Leeds has been canceled.

The decision to postpone Manchester United's Premier League match against Leeds United, scheduled to take place at Old Trafford at 14:00 BST on Sunday, September 18, was made after extensive discussions with the Premier League, Greater Manchester Police, and Trafford Council, the club said in a statement on Monday.

"This is because Greater Manchester Police helped forces from all around the United Kingdom at key places and activities after Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away.

"The club affirms that the safety and security of our supporters is of utmost importance, and after weighing all of our alternatives, we endorse the choice that was made in coordination with the appropriate authorities.

"Please be aware that any tickets already purchased for the game will still be valid for the new match date. When more information is available, we will get in touch with ticket holders immediately.

"We acknowledge the disappointment and difficulty this may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience and on-going support.

The match will now be rescheduled, and more precise information will be provided soon.

The season for United has been uneven so far.
