The 'Second Sermon' rapper has been nominated for this year’s BET Hip Hop award. Black Sherif has been nominated in the category of 'Best International Flow' in an official nominees list released last night.

The young music sensation becomes the second Ghanaian act to be nominated for the category after rapper Sarkodie secured and won the same category in 2019.He shrugged off competition from Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K.), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K.), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada).

He will be competing for the category with other artiste from Africa, Europe and the Americas this year as Blxckie from South Africa, Nadia Nakai from Zimbabwe, Benjamin Epps and Le Juiice from France, Central Cee and Knucks from the United Kingdom, Haviah Mighty from Canada and Tasha and Tracie from Brazil have all been nominated for the category.

The BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 will be aired on September 30, 2022, at Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta.Born and raised in Konongo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Black Sherif is one of the newest Ghanaian artists making waves globally with his hit songs.

His song “Kweku The Traveller” is currently popular all over the world. With 1.3 million followers, Black Sherif is one of the most streamed Ghanaian rappers on Spotify.

His music is a blend of Ghanaian Highlife with reggae, hip hop, and other genres.

Many of his songs are very popular and trendy online with a great number of streams on streaming platforms.

He has even gained the attention of top musicians globally, the most recent being DJ Khaled, who described Black Sherif’s songs as ‘music that touches your soul’

According to Hiphopdx.com, Black Sherif will compete against eight other rappers for the award. Two of his competitors are Africans, Blxckie from South Africa and Nadia Nakai from Zimbabwe. Let us know your comments below
