Dame will not be able to take away my right to speak - Mahama.

Previous President John Mahama has answered critisms by the Head legal officer, Godfred Yeboah Lady on the previous' discernment about the nation's legal executive.

As per the previous President, it is his obligation to talk on such matters, so the AG can't remove that right from him.

Talking in a meeting with Accra-based TV3, Monday, September 12, Mr Mahama said: "The Legal executive is the last authority.

"We can deviate, and we can have fights in Parliament ultimately when we can't concur, we as a whole go to the equity framework and we should have certainty that it will do decently and will do as such as per the law and in the public interest that is all I was saying."

Mr Mahama contemplated whether being a previous President implies being excluded from remarking on issues of public interest, especially when things are turning sour.

"So the way in which he can perceive that to imply that I was hasty and bla bla. So on the off chance that you are a previous president and you see something happening in the country you reserve no option to discuss it? Is that what he is talking about?," the previous president tested.

He added: "No, I won't allow him to remove that right from me. Assuming I see something turning out badly, I will bring up it. It is my obligation to do as such," he said.

Mr Mahama had as of late said the picture of the country's legal executive had disintegrated.

Talking at the Public Popularity based Congress (NDC) Legal advisors' Meeting, on Sunday, 28 August 2022, Mr Mahama said: "So severely has the picture of our Legal executive crumbled that a considerable lot of our populace transparently make joke of our equity framework and of our judges. The expression 'Go to Court' is these days met with mocking giggling, rather than trust that one will really get equity".

Responding to Mr Mahama's cases, the AG had depicted the previous President's interests about the legal executive as humiliating and ridiculous.

"It was an extraordinary consternation and shame that, I heard an individual who has involved the most elevated office of express, that is the previous President as of late sent off an outlandish assault on the trustworthiness of Ghana's Legal executive. That's what I see, this was the most recent portion of orderly assault by the previous President, yet ridiculous," Mr Woman said, while tending to legal advisors at the Ghana Bar Affiliation Yearly Gathering in Ho on Monday, 12 September 2022.

As per the AG, the previous President's remarks dints the picture of the legal executive.

"I'm constrained to remark on same in this address since they verge on the security of the state and comprise a purposeful example of direct pointed toward subverting the freedom of the Legal executive, an arm of government whose independence is urgent to its legitimate working".

The AG further depicted the previous President's direct as "miserable."

"Such direct is obviously regrettable, coming from one who has involved the most noteworthy office of President and tries once more to that office. As of now, all should take note of that I express this opinion not on the grounds that I stand contrary to previous President Mahama as a legislator."
