Former Ghana Black Stars assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko has urged the adorable Black Stars technical team to consider using Mohammed Kudus as a false nine.
So far in the 2022/2023 season, the attacking midfielder has thrived in that role for Ajax, scoring (5) five goals on 10 shots.
With the Black Stars striking options looking far from convincing despite the addition of Iñaki Williams, Ibrahim Tanko, a former Ghana player has asked Coach Otto Addo to use Mohammed Kudus in attack.
“Mohammed Kudus is a very talented player. He can play in so many positions. If you pair him (kudus) with a holding midfielder, he can play as a no (8) and also as a striker,” he told multimedia Joy Sports.
“The technical team has a plan so let us hope that all the boys stay fit so the technical team will have good options to select from. [False 9] It is one of the options the technical team can look at.”
The black stars will play Brazil and Nicaragua in international friendlies this month as part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
