The West African Examination Council (WAEC) in a communique making waves on social media seeks to spell out schools that have engaged in one or more malpractices in the ongoing examination (WASSCE).
Very pathetic that this yearly canker comes back to bite the Ghanaian Education System and renders it useless in the international world.
In a report released by the examination body, WAEC, it Chronicles the schools alleged to have been involved the said examination malpractice.
WAEC says the general atmosphere for the conduct of the examination has been impressive so far with many of the schools showing decency in preparing the students and the entire officers for the exams.
However, as the saying goes, wherever the good finds itself, the devil prevails as well. There have been some mishaps in the examination.
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) mentioned that these malpractice are classified under:
1. Caution letters to schools;
Generally, over 34 schools have been served as the examination body had a tip-off from intelligence within the said schools.
It maintained that the involved schools might have taken monies from the students to help them in the cause of the examinations.
2. Assault on the monitoring agents.
The agency responsible for the examination alleged that some of it's external supervisors have been man-handled by these students taking the exams. Report have been made to the Anyaa police station for further investigations to be conducted.
Again, the said officer who was attacked claimed his spectacles and phones all damaged by the students of Santa Maria SHS.
3. Other tactics deployed to cheat in the examination by the students.
There are other allegations given by WAEC on the conduct of the students and the various heads implicated in the ongoing examination.
Below are some of the schools cautioned by the examinations body. Thus, the pictures;
