Georgina Asor Botchwey, a 25-year-old student nurse at Cape Coast, was allegedly murdered and secretly buried by a chief and a pastor in the chief's home in Mankessim in the Central Region.

The motive behind the alleged kidnapping and murder of the nurse by the Chief, Nana Crack, who is also the President of the Mankessim Traders Association and the Tufohen of Ekumfi Akwakrom, is unknown.

According to reports, the two dug a pit in the chief's newly constructed home and buried the nursing student in her last year.

After confessing to the crime to the police, the pastor was apprehended near Cape Coast, and the police then pursued him to the Chief's residence.

Her bag, shoes, and other possessions were taken from the chief's home along with the body.

Residents are in a state of shock and fear as a result of the tragedy.

The Assembly Member for the region, Hon. Cephas Authur, urged the Inspector General of Police to increase security in Mankessim and its surroundings in an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan.

He claims that this is the fifth occurrence of this kind of incident in Mankessim this year.

The Assemblyman demanded that the chief and the pastor be prosecuted and, in the event that they are proven guilty, harshly punished by the law to serve as a deterrent to others who have such nefarious objectives.

The victim's body has been placed in the mortuary of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for preservation and autopsy.

The residents of the neighborhood have been aware of this pastor and chief's immorality for a very long time, but they were unable to see their covert whispers whenever they were together. One is not permitted to approach them closer during their encounter. Asor Botchwey's elder brother almost passed out after Georgina's death, and he was unable to stand when he learned of Georgina's passing.

We extend our condolences to Georgina Asor Botcwey's family.
