In Fomesua, a fuel tanker crash kills three people.


Three people were killed when a fuel tanker collided with a passenger bus on the Accra-Kumasi Highway in Fumesua on Wednesday.

According to Asaaseradio.com, 32 people are being treated after being injured.


The accident happened around 1 a.m., according to Ejisu Municipal Chief Executive Samuel Frimpong, who was on the scene, and two people died on the spot.


"Around 1 a.m., the municipal police commander and fire operation officer received a call about an accident involving a VIP bus and an Atuabo gas tanker."

"The gas tanker was on its way to offload gas at the Sonic gas filling station when it collided with a VIP bus from Asante Mampong heading to Accra, killing two people on the spot." "When I arrived there in the morning, another person had been reported dead, bringing the total to three," he explained.

The Central Regional Police Command has arrested Nana Clark Onyaa in connection with the death of Georgina Asor Botchwey, a 25-year-old trainee nurse.

According to reports, the suspect managed to bury the lady in a kitchen in his Mankessim home after conspiring with a pastor to murder her.


Akwakrom Tufuhene of Ekumfi Nana Onyaa fled the town after learning that his accomplice had been apprehended, but the police apprehended him at his hideout in Ekumfi Akwakrom.


According to reports, Nana Onyaa and the pastor demanded GH15,000 from the lady's family after the kidnapping in order for her to be released.

According to the police report, because the family failed to pay the amount, the Chief and the pastor allegedly killed the lady and buried her in the Chief's kitchen.


Chief Superintendent David Gyabaa, the Central Regional Crime Officer, confirmed the arrest to GHOne TV News, adding that both suspects are with the Regional Police Command.


Meanwhile, some enraged Mankesim residents have urged the police to ensure that the suspects face the full force of the law.
