The gates fee for Sunday's Super Clash matchup against Hearts of Oak in the third week of the Ghana Premier League have been cut by Asante Kotoko management.
The action is a part of efforts to enlist the support of the fan base following the dismal exit from the CAF Champions League preliminary round against RC Kadiogo on Sunday.
After the game ended with an overall score of 1-1, Asante Kotoko was eliminated from the competition on penalties.
In a statement, the team thanked the fans for their support on Sunday and made a plea for further support before their season-opening Super Clash against their bitter rivals.
"The Management of Asante Kotoko would like to convey its sincere gratitude to all of our wonderful supporters who came out in support of us on Sunday.
"Unfortunately, the outcomes were not what we had hoped they would be, but together, we will recover triumphantly."
