Against Croatia on Thursday, CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN gave Manchester United supporters a taste of his talent.

According to the response following Christian Eriksen's outstanding Denmark goal on Thursday, Manchester United supporters appear to have their sights set on a crucial matchup with Manchester City. Since joining on a free transfer from Brentford in the summer, the deft midfielder has been a huge success, and over the international break, he has shown even more of his talent.

In January of this year, Eriksen was signed by Brentford after taking a break following a heart episode during Euro 2020. He was still capable of competing at the highest level right away, and even though the Bees made him a generous contract offer to stay with them, the allure of transferring to Old Trafford exhibited too much.

All six of United's Premier League games this season, as well as twice in the Europa League, have seen the 30-year-old play, and he has contributed two assists. After the international break on October 2, he is expected to start in the match against Man City.

Many Red Devils supporters are already formulating their ideal game plan for the crucial match, and Eriksen's spectacular goal on Thursday seems to have given them more confidence.

In the UEFA Nations League, with Denmark behind Croatia 1-0, Eriksen collected the ball and turned quickly before curving a spectacular 25-yard strike that sailed over Dominik Livakovic. Even though Croatia won 2-1 thanks to Lovro Majer's winning goal minutes later, United supporters had had enough.

A United supporter commented on goal video posted on social media as follows: "Such a great strike. He has a fresh lease on life and is doing fantastic. Such a goal against City would be much-appreciated. What a player we have at our disposal."

Many other Manchester United supporters agreed when he wrote, "Now do this against City." Meanwhile,"Pray for Man City," was added. Since Pep Guardiola's team is still unbeaten after seven Premier League games, United should have their job cut out for them against the report.

United, in comparison, has four victories and two losses, placing fifth overall. They do, however, have momentum thanks to a run of four straight league triumphs after the two appalling losses that signaled the start of Erik ten Hag's administration. United won't play in the Premier League again until the Manchester derby due to postponements and the international break.

Given the rogue form Erling Haaland has displayed since joining from Borussia Dortmund this summer, stopping him will also be a major topic of emphasis. The Norwegian is scoring at a mind-boggling rate of one goal every 52 minutes, nearly double the pace of his closest rival.

The striker was described as "amazing" by United legend Paul Scholes this week, but he believes Kylian Mbappe has more to offer. He told The Overlap, "Haaland, look, he's amazing, don't get me wrong, but he's just a goalscorer isn't he?
