The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is a public university in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It was established in 1992 as a tertiary institution and has since become one of the leading universities in the country. The university has two campuses, namely: Winneba, and Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam. UEW offers a variety of programmes at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Over the years, UEW has made tremendous strides in improving access to quality education in Ghana. The university has introduced innovative programmes that are changing the face of education in the country. For instance, UEW was the first university in Ghana to offer a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education programme. This programme is aimed at equipping teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively teach young children.
In addition, UEW has also introduced programme that focus on entrepreneurship and leadership development. These programmes are
helping to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also
have the practical skills needed to start and run their own businesses.

more people to access quality tertiary education. With its commitment to

shaping the future of Ghanaian society.
