Terrorist threat in Ghana: 21 suspect foreign nationals apprehended in Kumasi.
Through the 'See Something, Say Something' anti-terrorism campaign, the Ghana Police Service arrested 21 foreign nationals in Ejisu, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
According to graphic.com.gh, the 21 suspects were apprehended after community leaders reported them for acting strangely.
According to the report, community leaders in Ejisu reported the suspects to police after observing their suspicious activities for about a month.
Mohammed Ali, one of the community leaders, stated that they reported the 21 foreign nationals because they believed they posed a security risk due to their actions.
"I came in several times and asked them what they were doing. They claimed to be learning. You see them making phone calls in the evening, different phone calls, everyone making a phone call.
"Perhaps they're trying to persuade someone, I don't know, so that's what they've been doing around here, "According to graphic.com.gh, Ali said.
The Ghana Police Service and National Security have yet to comment on the arrest.
In May 2022, the National Security Ministry launched the 'See Something, Say Something' Citizen Education Campaign to help raise awareness and alertness about a possible terrorist attack in Ghana.
The campaign aims to educate citizens on the importance of reporting any suspicious activities related to terrorism to security agencies, and it is part of efforts to combat the terrorist threat in the West African sub-region.

As punishment for destroying a neighbor's cellphone, a father identified as Bright Mawuena submerged his own eight-year-old daughter's left hand in boiling water until her fingers were burned and bruised.
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, an incident occurred near Iconic Montessori School in Abonya, Dodowa, Greater Accra Region.
When confronted by a local pastor, Bishop Jordan K. Owiredu of Redeemed Family Chapel International, a church in the area, the father admitted to inflicting the harm on the child.
Bishop Owiredu told ClassFMonline.com that he went to inspect his construction site in the area this morning (Friday, September 23, 2022) when he overheard some angry neighbors confronting the man about the incident.
Some of them could be heard condemning the father and pleading with him to be taken to the police station before he kills his own daughter one day.
Enraged by the incident, Bishop Owiredu single-handedly led the man to the Dodowa police station to file a complaint.
On the way to the police station, the father told the pastor that he punished his daughter in this way because he was tired of warning her not to take or touch things that did not belong to her.
