Akufo-Addo has been accused of using intellectual property without permission. Otoo, Bridget.
Bridget Otoo, a broadcast journalist and social commentator, appears to have expressed surprise at Ghanaians' surprise at the president's use of graphical content from Kirani Ayat without the musician's permission.
Given that the president's inauguration speech was plagiarized, his decision to use the works of a musician without permission should not surprise anyone, according to the journalist.

In response to a post by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, Kirani Ayat accused the president of using graphical excerpts in his music video to promote his tourism agenda.
On September 27, 2022, the President of Ghana shared a video on Twitter to promote tourism in the country and welcome expatriates.
"Beneath the deep blue sky, the Black Star is calling," the video caption read. Follow the stars and let them lead you on a journey through our history. I cordially invite everyone to the world's center."
Kirani Ayat said in a tweet that highlighted the tweet that the president used his video without consulting him.
According to Ayat, this occurred after the Ministry ignored his [Kirani Ayat] request to use the song 'GUDA' to promote tourism in the North.

Ghana's president has used my video "GUDA" in this advertisement to promote Ghana. I actively approached the Ministry of Tourism in 2018/19 to use this video to promote tourism in the North and received NO response, yet today it's in an ad and no one contacted me for permission. ???????
