A massive trade exhibition put on by SNV Netherlands Development Organization, Green Ghana Initiative, including products from 59 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Ashanti region.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are either enrolled in or have completed SNV's 6-month Green Incubation and Green Acceleration Programmes, which offer business advisory support to green and eco-inclusive businesses and entrepreneurs, are exhibited along with their goods and services that are produced using environmentally friendly, resource-efficient, or waste-free processes.
The companies come from SNV's three industry areas: energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
The SNV Netherlands Development Organization is a non-profit international development organization that improves the lives of people who are poor by assisting them in increasing their incomes and gaining access to essential services, particularly in the areas of agriculture, renewable energy, and water, which are present in more than 25 countries.
The Boosting Green Employment and Enterprise Opportunities in Ghana (GrEEn) Project is being carried out by SNV Ghana and the UNCDF with money from the European Union and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It includes the 2022 Greek Regional Trade Show.
The event's business advisory director, Mr. Frederick Acquah, said that the project intends to increase economic and employment chances for young people, women, and minorities.

He said, "SNV Ghana has worked with the Ghana Export Promotion Centre, the Association of Ghana Industries, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry to help develop indigenous industry in the country.

According to him, the Green Project has four result areas and is carried out through the European Union Emergency Trust Fund (EUTF) for Africa. SNV is in charge of Results 2 and 4 while UNCDF is in charge of Results 1 and 3.
He mentioned that SNV works to offer incubation and acceleration services to business owners and entrepreneurs that are involved in the green and circular economy under Result 4.
SNV's business hub partners in the two regions, Recycle Up!, conduct the six-month training. Women's Haven Africa and Ghana are located in the Ashanti Region. The Western Region is home to Duapa Workspace, the Social Entrepreneurship (SE) Hub, and the University of Mines and Technology-Tarkwa.
Before it is finished, the project will, according to the project manager, Mr. Sadda Laouali, change many lives.
He said that the Ashanti and Western regions would benefit the most from the initiative and that they were striving to ensure its sustainability so that others would also benefit.
He claimed that supporting SMEs through that nation's youth was the only way to further the economic development of that nation.
